    Universal Coal was notified on 29th September that following the recent Placing on 26th September 2008, Mr. Nathan Bruce McMahon, a
director of the Company, continues to hold 18,350,000 ordinary shares of 1p each, which now represents approximately 7.61% of the total
voting rights of the Company.  Mr. Alastair Raoul Clayton, also a director of the Company, through Cenkos Channel Islands Nominee Company
Limited A/C KGCLT, continues to hold 10,250,000 ordinary shares of 1p each, which now represents approximately 4.25% of the total voting
rights of the Company.
