United Energy, through its wholly owned subsidiary AmBrit Energy Corp, owns a
10.65% overriding royalty in the Mitchell Lease, Lavaca County, Texas.  

In January 1998, Costilla Energy, Inc., the operator of the Mitchell Lease,
drilled the successful Migl-Mitchell No1 well which encountered a reported 190
ft of pay in two Wilcox Sands and is currently producing 10 mmcfpd of gas to
the gross interest, 175 boepd net to AmBrits interest.

Costilla Energy has recently drilled the Migl-Mitchell No 2 well which
encountered a reported 274 net ft of Wilcox Sands and initial production is
expected later this month.  In addition, Costilla have staked a third well
location on this lease.

The estimated gross reserves reported for each of these wells ranges between
30 and 45 bcf, equating to 500 mboe to 750 mboe per well net to AmBrits
interest, which should have a substantial positive impact on United Energy s
4,200 mboe reserve base.

Under the terms of the royalty interest, AmBrit Energy Corp is not party to
any of the technical data from the well and has to rely on information in the
public domain.  As a result of the absence of technical data, we are unable to
prepare at this point in time our own evaluation of the reserves, but expect
the situation to change as more production data becomes available.
