    Union Resources Limited to Cancel Admission to Trading on AIM

    In addition to its Australian Securities Exchange ("ASX") listing, Union Resources Limited ("the Company") was admitted to trading on
the Alternative Investment Market of the London Stock Exchange ("AIM") in late 2005. The Company's Directors have decided to cancel the
admission of the Company's securities to trading on AIM as they are of the opinion that the costs of maintaining an AIM quotation exceed the
benefits provided by that quotation.

    The cancellation date for the admission of the Company's securities to trading on AIM is Thursday, 15 January 2009.

    Following the cancellation date the depositary interests representing the ordinary shares (ASX Code: UCL/AIM: URL) and all classes of
listed options (ASX Codes: UCLOA and UCLOB/AIM: URLA and URLB, and codes to be allocated to options issued under the Company's current
rights issue) will be cancelled and the underlying securities will be transferred to the Australian register of members or register of
option holders as the case may be.

    The Company will continue to be admitted to the Official List of the ASX and the Company's securities will continue to be traded on the
ASX. Appropriate arrangements will be made for all security holders whose securities are currently traded through AIM to be registered on
the Company's Australian register of members and/or register of option holders and for them to be able to trade their securities on the
ASX.

    The Company will write to all security holders whose securities are currently traded through AIM. In the meantime however, if any of
those security holders have any questions they should contact the Company's Registrar, Capita Registrars on 0871 664 0335 (calls cost 10p
per minute plus network extras).
