Verity Group plc disposes of a factory in Leeds

Verity Group plc (the 'Company'), announces that it has sold a factory in
Sandleas Way, Crossgates, Leeds for #2m.  #1.4m will be received in cash on
completion.  Deferred consideration of #100,000 per month will be received
from July to December 1998.  Annual rental income from the property was
#180,000.

The Company expects that there will be no material profit or loss on disposal.
 Proceeds from the sale of the property will be used to reduce borrowings and
finance working capital requirements.

The disposal reflects the Company's policy of disposing of non-core businesses
and assets in order to focus resources on NXT flat panel loudspeaker
technology.
