                       BOARD APPOINTMENT
 
Dr.  Philip  David has been appointed to the Board  of  Verity
Group plc as a non-executive director with effect from 1  June
1998.
 
He  is  a director of a number of companies including the  New
York Stock Exchange listed Fairchild Corporation, New York and
IRI  International Corporation, Houston, Texas and the  Israel
Stock Exchange listed Teuza Technologies, Inc., Haifa, Israel.
 
During   a  distinguished  academic  career,  Dr.  David   was
Professor of Finance, Economics and Urban Land Development  at
Harvard  University Graduate Business School and Professor  of
Economics  and  Urban Planning at Massachusetts  Institute  of
Technology.  Previously he was Professor of Economics at  City
University, New York.
 
He  has also been an adviser to the US Treasury Department  on
Tax Policy and a Presidential adviser on National Urban Growth
Policy.
 
Farad  Azima,  Chairman  of Verity Group  plc  said:  "We  are
