Result of General Meeting

The Board of Western & Oriental plc announces that at the General Meeting of the Company held earlier today all the resolutions were passed including the resolution to approve the cancellation of admission of the Company's ordinary shares to trading on AIM which was duly passed by more than 75 per cent. of the votes cast at the Meeting.

Following this approval, trading in the Ordinary Shares on AIM will be cancelled from 7.00 a.m. on 15 April 2011.

On the cancellation, Collins Stewart will cease to be nominated adviser and broker to the Company.
