Champps Restaurants (Nasdaq:CMPP) in Westlake, Valley View and Lyndhurst, Ohio, are sponsoring a charity benefit night to help with the escalating medical costs of Officer Ryan Nagy, of the Middleburg Police Department on Monday, May 9, 2005, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. All three Champps locations will be donating 15% of their food and non-alcoholic beverage sales during the time specified. Officer Ryan Nagy is an eight-year veteran on the Middleburg Police Department and he is married with two children. During a routine traffic stop earlier this April, Ryan lost a leg after being struck by a truck and pinned between two vehicles. Since his accident he has been in serious condition at Metro Hospital. "This is a great time for Champps to get involved and support a tremendous community effort," said Tom McCabe, General Manager in Westlake.
