Anderson has been in banking for nearly 30 years. Before joining Cardinal State Bank, he was senior vice president and manager of Durham Commercial Lending for the former Central Carolina Bank (now SunTrust), where he had also served as a senior commercial loan officer. Prior to joining CCB, he worked as a vice president of corporate banking, manager of business and private banking, and corporate banking officer for Wachovia Bank in Durham. A graduate of East Carolina University, Anderson is a graduate of both the Mid-Management and Advanced Management programs of the North Carolina School of Banking. He received a Foundation of Banking diploma from the American Institute of Banking and attended the National Personnel School and Bank Trainers School offered by the American Banker's Association. Outside of banking, Anderson holds a number of community positions.
