Ericsson's (NASDAQ: ERIC) Internet Payment eXchange (IPX), a global messaging aggregation service, today announced the launch of new customer tools for the US market. The tools are designed to maximize efficiencies in program management, end-consumer support and revenue assurance for content providers.

The new suite of customer tools from Ericsson IPX will guide customers through the entire carrier approval process - from program submission, troubleshooting and support, launch and reporting.

Ericsson IPX is a leading global connections aggregator and messaging provider in the mobile space. IPX provides access to premium charging and messaging, via SMS, MMS, WEB and WAP billing, to more than two billion mobile subscribers across networks in 25 countries.

The overall goals of the Ericsson IPX support tools are to allow customers to efficiently work through the carrier processes in order to maximize profitability and time to market. Ericsson IPX's online program management tool, Program Manager, was upgraded with new features for 2009. Program Manager offers customers guidance through the US carrier program submission process, while ensuring carrier compliance.

New features of Program Manager include access to IPX integration guides and US carrier playbooks, as well as the ability to send test messages through the tool. Program Manager now also serves as the primary tool to manage the carrier certification and auditing process to ensure ongoing program compliance.

"Ericsson IPX is proud to provide our customers with the tools they need to grow and improve their mobile business," said Scott Nichols, Director, Ericsson IPX North America. "In response to our customers who have requested help in simplifying the US carrier submission, approval, and certification processes, we've enhanced our Program Manager tool to minimize complexity and improve time-to-market. The more IPX can simplify and give visibility into the business, the better we enable our customers to achieve their profitability goals."

The Ericsson IPX Program Manager strikes a meaningful balance of maintaining simplicity for customers, while still meeting the requirements of carrier partners.

Ericsson IPX also offers new end-consumer support tools, including a customer-facing subscription status look-up tool and the ability to track transactions by consumer phone number.

In addition, a suite of revenue assurance tools for premium content providers were introduced. Content providers can monitor message delivery in real-time through a feature of the Ericsson IPX messaging application programming interface (API). Also, Ericsson IPX provides an online web reporting tool that provides a statistical analysis of message traffic. The Web Reporting tool shows aggregate traffic for different short codes, tariffs, keywords and markets set to the time-period of your choice.

Ericsson IPX is an enabler for generating revenue from content and messaging, while providing unmatched stability for our customers to build consumer loyalty, brand recognition and operational efficiency.
