Transatlantic stock market operator NYSE Euronext (NYX) Wednesday said its new data center outside London is envisaged to be the primary European data center.

MAIN FACTS:

- Aubervilliers, on the outskirts of Paris, will serve strategically as both a secondary data center and primary site for various exchange functions.

- Market operations, high-level technical support, surveillance and key technology development resources for the NYSE Euronext European cash businesses will remain in France.

- Paris will remain a primary center in the ongoing development and operation of NYSE Euronext's Universal Trading Platform, which has been fully operational in Europe and soon to be implemented in the U.S..
