Gen. Richard B. Myers Elected to Aon Corp. Board of Directors

CHICAGO, July 10 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Aon Corp. (NYSE:AOC)
announced Gen. Richard B. Myers, former Chairman of the Joint
Chiefs of Staff, was elected to the company's board of directors at
the company's 2006 annual meeting. (Logo:

Myers served as joint chiefs chairman from Oct. 1, 2001 to Sept.
30, 2005. In that role, he served as a principal military adviser
to President George W. Bush, Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld
and to the National Security Council. Previously, he was vice
chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff under both President Bill

Pacific Air Forces. Gen. Myers entered the U.S. Air Force in 1965
through the Reserve Officers Training Corps program. A native of
Kansas City, Mo., Gen. Myers graduated in 1965 from Kansas State
University with a degree in mechanical engineering, and holds a
master's degree in business administration from Auburn University.
