Smaller Particles, Bigger Savings: New Technology Offers Industrial Users Finer Filtration

Diversified industrial manufacturer Eaton introduces their
low-micron element for industrial users that offers finer
filtration down to 25 microns, substantially lowers pressure
differential and increases flow capacity. Available for the
stainless steel, 2” - 8” Model 2596 automatic self-cleaning
strainers, this rigid, cylindrical stainless steel element cleans
easily, which leads to longer life compared to disposable media and
reduces the disposal costs. The sintered mesh laminate removes the
possibility of media migration into the processed product, thus
avoiding risk of contamination and production downtime. Visit

self-cleaning strainer works.

“Our new low-micron element extends Eaton’s position onto the
finer filtration market and allows us to take advantage of this
growing filtration trend,” said Rick Jacobs, president of Eaton’s
Filtration Division. “We have set ambitious, yet practical
sustainability goals with an eye toward developing products that
reduce the environmental impact of our customer’s processes.”
The Model 2596 2” - 8” size stainless steel strainers are now
equipped with high-efficiency motors and feature Eaton’s Cenpeller™
technology that directs incoming fluid into a circular flow,
forcing the debris to lay against the surface of the strainer
element in a way that makes backwashing easier and more efficient,
and greatly reduces the need for manual cleanouts. To simplify
maintenance the Model 2596 features a unitized modular assembly.
The motor, gear reducers, and internal operating mechanism are
housed with the strainer cover and lift off as one unit. This makes
the components easily accessible, increases the safety for
technical operators and reduces associated maintenance costs.
