Eaton Corp. on Tuesday said its board raised the quarterly dividend by 2.8% to 73 cents from 71 cents.

The new payout, equal to $2.92 a year, represents an annual yield of about 2.87% based on Monday's closing price of $101.65, up from 2.79%.

The Dublin-based power-management company said the increased dividend is payable March 27 to shareholders of record March 13.
