Carlyle Group LP (CG) and BC Partners in partnership are in late-stage negotiations to acquire United Technologies Corp.'s (UTX) industrial divisions, Reuters reported Monday citing three people familiar with the matter.

United Tech in March put the pump and compressor units of its Hamilton Sundstrand subsidiary up for sale to help fund its acquisition of Goodrich Corp.

Representatives for United Tech, Carlyle and BC Partners declined to comment to Reuters.
