BOHEMIA, N.Y., Sept. 16 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- NBTY, Inc.
(NYSE:NTY) (http://www.nbty.com/), a leading global manufacturer
and marketer of nutritional supplements, announced today that it
priced an offering (the "Offering") of $200,000,000 aggregate
principal amount of senior subordinated notes due 2015 (the
"Notes"). The notes are being offered to investors at a price of
99.117% of principal amount. The closing of the Offering is
scheduled to occur on September 23, 2005, and is subject to
customary closing conditions. The Notes are being offered to
qualified institutional buyers pursuant to Rule 144A under the
Securities Act of 1933, as amended (the "Securities Act") and to
persons outside the United States under Regulation S of the
Securities Act. The Notes will not be registered under the
Securities Act or any state securities laws and, unless so
registered, may not be offered or sold in the Untied States except
pursuant to an exemption from the registration requirements of the
Securities Act and applicable state laws. This press release shall
