Shell Brand Expands in Phoenix Area With the Return of the Kapanicas Family and the Conversion of Approximately 11 Mobil Locations Converted Stations to Offer Shell Quality Fuels PHOENIX, Feb. 15 /PRNewswire/ -- Residents in Phoenix and the surrounding area will soon be seeing Shell yellow all over town as Shell Oil Products US (SOPUS), the company that markets the Shell brand in the Western United States, kicks off its re-branding effort with the conversion of approximately 11 Mobil locations to the Shell brand, the No. 1 brand of gasoline in the United States. "The conversion of Mobil Superpumper locations begins a Valley-wide process to expand the Shell brand and marks the aggressive growth of Shell quality fuels to the Phoenix market," said Rick Powell, Southwest Region Sales Manager for the company. "The Superpumper locations that are to be converted are among the highest quality locations in the Valley and SOPUS is excited to have them become part of our network. SOPUS intends to complete this initial phase of the conversion process in Phoenix and the surrounding area by the end of February 2005, and the entire process is expected to continue throughout the year. This effort is intended to create minimal inconvenience to customers, as each station will remain open for virtually the entire conversion period.
