Addition of large-bore seals, bearing isolators gives Timken full line of industrial seals CANTON, Ohio, Sept. 18 /PRNewswire/ -- The Timken Company (NYSE:TKR) today announced the expansion of its line of industrial seals to include large-bore seals and bearing isolators, beginning in November in the United States and Canada. These products will be available to authorized Timken industrial distributors and are used in applications across a range of industries, including manufacturing, food, mining, power generation, chemical processing, primary metals, pulp and paper, and oil and gas. Timken's large-bore industrial seal line includes oil, split, lip, face- type and external seals in large-bore sizes up to 90 inches. Bearing isolators are available in standard, flangeless, grease-purgeable, split pillow-block, step-shaft and vertical styles. Timken is expanding the product line through an agreement with Garlock Sealing Technologies, an EnPro Industries company (NYSE:NPO). Timken will source its line of large-bore industrial seals and bearing isolators from Garlock for the U.S. and Canadian markets, and will work to expand the product line globally in 2007. The agreement does not include mechanical seals. Terms were not disclosed. In addition to its large-bore seal offering, Timken currently sells small- bore seals, as well as metric and high-temperature varieties.
