AMSTERDAM--Dutch oil services company SBM Offshore NV (SBMO.AE), together with its commissioner Talisman Energy (TLM), will fix the faulty legs of its Yme oil and gas platform just off the Norwegian coastline, Reuters writes Friday based on a release by Talisman Energy.

"We have reached an agreement with SBM Offshore about fixing the Yme platform," said Talisman spokesman Vidar Nedreboe Friday to Reuters. "It is our plan to fix the grouting around the platform's legs. SBM will perform the maintenance through their subcontractors," he added.

The Norwegian government urged Talisman and SBM Offshore to come up with a plan to solve the problem earlier this week after studies showed it was at risk of collapse during a storm.
