Champion Bear Resources Ltd. ("Champion Bear") (TSX VENTURE:CBA) is pleased to
announce that it has completed the first phase (3,211m) of its planned 10,000m
definition drilling program at its Eagle Rock property southwest of Dryden,
Ontario.
Thirteen holes have been completed to date on the eastern portion of the
Campbell zone from section 0+50 W to 3+50 E. Drilling of the remaining western
portion of the zone to 6+00W and further east to 5+00 E (the extent of the
previously defined Campbell zone) is expected to continue after freeze-up.
Table 1. summarizes the assay results for the initial samples submitted, which
cover the majority of the first two holes. Drill meterages reflect core length,
true width will be determined at the conclusion of the planned definition
drilling program.

NB: the assays for 14 samples from 281- 297 in Hole ER08-01A and 42 samples
from 159-200m have not yet been received from the lab.
The Eagle Rock property is traversed by several swamps which confined the summer
drilling to the section from 50 W to 350 E. Drilling was designed, wherever
possible, to test the mineralized zone at approximately 50 m centres both along
strike and down dip and to confirm earlier drilling. Holes ER08-01A and ER08-02
are both drilled on Section 0+50 West approximately 80m back from previous
(1999) holes ER- 6 and 7 to test the continuity of mineralization to depth. Both
holes confirm the continuity to depth of the mineralized zones as well as the
tenor of the mineralization. Assay results are similar to those received from
the three holes drilled at the end of 2007 (see Champion Bear's news release
dated February 21, 2008).
Champion Bear is encouraged by these initial assay results which continue to
confirm the continuity and extent of the mineralization both along strike and
down dip. Complete assay results for all the first thirteen holes (phase 1) of
the company's 10,000 m definition drilling program are expected by the middle of
December.
Preliminary exploration along strike to the east of the main Campbell zone
encountered sulfide mineralization in outcrop at two locations similar both in
its mineralization character as well as total content of sulfides. Previous
scout holes ER 24, 25 and 26 (drilled in 2000) also reported similar
mineralization in this area. Exploration in the vicinity of sample site
ER008-SAM1, showed hole ER 26 was actually collared within the mineralized zone.
Sample ER008-SAM2, was collected approximately 250m further east, west of
previous holes ER 24 and 25.
Champion Bear is encouraged with these preliminary exploration results which
indicate a possible extension of the length of the main Campbell zone
mineralization from approximately 1,100m to beyond 1,600m. Results from all
previous 19990-2000 Champion Bear drilling is available in the company's Annual
Information Form available on SEDAR at www.SEDAR.com.
Champion Bear, as part of its ongoing work program, has already extended the
existing grid to cover this area's eastern area and expects to complete surface
mapping, sampling and follow up drilling as soon as practical.

The diamond drilling was supervised by Watts, Griffis and McOuat limited.
("WGM") personnel under the field supervision of P. Dunbar, P.Geo. (Qualified
Person). Diamond drill core was logged, marked for sampling and saw cut, half
the core was sealed in new plastic sample bags the remaining half core was
retained and securely stored for future reference. Plastic sample bags were then
sealed in rice bags and shipped directly by bus to Activation Laboratories in
Ancastor. Gold, Platinum and Palladium analyses were assayed by Fire Assay-MS
technique, Cu and Ni and remaining elements were analysed with the TD-ICP
package. Full descriptions of these analytical techniques and procedures, may be
examined on the labs web site www.actlabsint.com. The laboratory carries out a
comprehensive internal quality control program including certified calibration
standards, duplicate analyses and insertion of blanks. Full assay certificates
are available from the company on request.
The Qualified Person for the technical aspects of this news release is J.
Hinzer, P.Geo. president of WGM.
About Champion Bear
Champion Bear is a mineral exploration company focused exclusively on the
historically prospective regions of Ontario. The Company's primary target is

metal and pegmatite-hosted tantalum deposits. Champion Bear's aim is to create
shareholder value through selective property acquisition and joint venture
followed by focused exploration emphasizing drilling. The Company has assembled
a large land position in the Dryden and Sudbury areas, totaling over 16,000
hectares.
This news release contains forward-looking statements relating to, without
limitation, the anticipated timing of assay results, surface mapping, sampling
and follow-up drilling as well as the continuance of the definition drilling
program which are based on Champion Bear's current internal expectations. These
statements are not guarantees of future performance and undue reliance should
not be placed on them. Such forward-looking statements necessarily involve known
