to announce the release of the official South Edmonton Common iPhone
application. This mobile directory application is the first of its kind for an
outdoor retail power centre in Canada. The application is now available for
download in the iTunes App Store (search: South Edmonton Common).


South Edmonton Common is the largest outdoor retail power centre in North
America. The centre faced challenges when considering wayfinding methods, and
expressed an interest in an iPhone application as a preliminary alternative to
on-site wayfinding signage.


With many great features including:



--  Complete store listing: find stores alphabetically or by category. 
--  Keyword Search: find brands, products, specialty items, etc. 
--  3D map: with color coded zones and multi-touch to help you find the
    store you are looking for 
--  Sales & Jobs listing- Find out which stores have sales, see if any
    stores are hiring! 
--  Store Descriptions, including hours of operation 
--  Call stores with the one-touch-dial feature and view store websites 



Even more great features, such as animated directions between stores and a
traffic 'best route' indicator, are coming soon! Visionstate plans to roll out
the South Edmonton Common app for use on additional handsets, such as Android
and Blackberry over the next year.
