CURIS ANNOUNCES NEW DIRECTORS AND ADDITIONAL OUTCOME OF SHAREHOLDER MEETING

VANCOUVER, Feb. 7 /CNW/ -- VANCOUVER, Feb. 7 /CNW/ - Curis
Resources Ltd. ("Curis" or the "Company") (TSXV:CUV) announces the
recent election of Gordon Fretwell, Robert Schafer and David
Copeland, to the Board of Directors of the Company at the special
meeting of shareholders of the Company held on January 28,
2011. As a result of these appointments, the size of the
Board has increased from five members to eight. Gordon Fretwell
holds a Bachelor of Commerce and Law degrees. Formerly a
partner in a large Vancouver law firm, since 1991, Mr. Fretwell has
been a self-employed solicitor in Vancouver practicing primarily in
the areas of corporate and securities law. Robert Schafer is
a Certified Professional Geologist with advanced degrees in geology
and mineral economics who has worked internationally with major and
junior mining companies including Kinross Gold Corporation, BHP
World Minerals and Billiton. He is Vice President, Corporate
Development for Hunter Dickinson Inc. David J. Copeland is a
Professional Engineer (geological) and mining executive with over
30 years of experience in a variety of capacities in mine
exploration, discovery and development throughout the South
Pacific, Africa, South America and North America. A director of
Hunter Dickinson Inc. (HDI), he directs and co-ordinates advanced
technical programs of companies for which HDI provides services.
Messrs. Fretwell, Schaefer and Copeland join Russell Hallbauer,
Robert Dickinson, Rene Carrier, James Kerr, and President and CEO
Michael McPhie on the Board of Curis. Russell Hallbauer has
been appointed Chairman. Russell Hallbauer is a Professional
Engineer (mining) as well as a long term member and past president
of the Canadian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy and a director
and former chairman of the Mining Association of BC. Mr.
Hallbauer is President, Chief Executive Officer and director of
Taseko Mines Limited, the owner of the Gibraltar Mine located near
Williams Lake, British Columbia, and a director of Hunter Dickinson
Inc. Robert A. Dickinson is an economic geologist who has been
actively involved in mineral exploration and mine development for
over 40 years. He is Chairman of Hunter Dickinson Inc. as
well as a director and member of the management team of a number of
the public companies associated with HDI. He also serves as a
Director of the BC Mining Museum and a Trustee of the BC Mineral
Resources Education Program. Rene Carrier is a businessman who is a
past Vice-President of Pacific International Securities Inc. where
he worked for ten years, until 1991. Since that time he has
been President of Euro-American Capital Corporation, a private
company which specializes in restructuring, administration, and
raising venture capital funds for junior companies. James
Kerr is a Chartered Accountant with extensive experience in public
practice, and actively involved with audit committees of mining and
energy companies, providing advice on accounting and compliance
issues based on a risk management approach. Michael McPhie is
a senior mining executive with more than 20 years of operational
and project development experience. He has served as a Director and
Executive Vice President of Exeter Resource Corporation, President
and CEO of the Mining Association of BC and as a senior director
with Natural Resources Canada. Michael serves on several private
and public boards and is currently Chair of the Board of Governors
of the British Columbia Institute of Technology, a member of the
Arizona Mining Association, a director of the Association for
Mineral Exploration BC and is Co-Chair of the Britannia Beach

and prior to joining HDI in 2005, was an audit manager at KPMG LLP

development and operations. He holds a BSc in Mining Engineering
and has built his career around mine start-ups. With proven
experience in underground and surface operations, project
management and construction, Mel has worked on an array of
international projects throughout Canada, the United States and New
Zealand. He possesses strong operational and technical abilities
with hands-on experience in major project management, Feasibility
Studies, project permitting, contract preparation, project and
construction management, project start-up, policy development and
administration. Xenia Kritsos is an internationally qualified
business lawyer experienced in providing advice in the mining
infrastructure, technology and other sectors. Areas of
expertise include mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance,
securities law, competition law and foreign investment. Ms.
Kritsos is also Legal Counsel for Hunter Dickinson Inc.
Shareholders of the Company also approved the appointment of
DeVisser Gray LLP as auditor of the Corporation, approved the
continuance of the Company from Ontario to British Columbia,
created a class of preference shares, and adopted an updated 10%
rolling stock option plan, all as more fully described in the
