DEQ Systems Corp. (TSX VENTURE:DEQ), leading provider of table gaming bonusing
technology, has announced today the appointment of Mr. Marco J. Estrela as its
new Marketing and Global Channels Director. Mr. Estrela has over ten years of
commercialization experience in the international high-tech industry, notably in
marketing and sales channels management in the Asian Pacific Rim. Mr. Estrela
has a bachelor's degree in business management with a major in marketing.

Also, DEQ announces the issuance of 50,000 stock options in favour of Mr.
Estrela in accordance with the stock option plan of the Corporation. Each option
will confer to its holder the right to subscribe one (1) common share of DEQ
Systems Corp. at an exercise price of seventy nine cents ($0.79) per share.
Stock options will be vested 20% per year over a five-year term starting from
the first anniversary date of the granting of the stock options.
