Diagem Inc. ("Diagem" or "the Company") (TSX VENTURE:DGE) reports a higher grade
in the second 2008 bulk sample from its Chapadao Project in Mato Grosso, Brazil.
Bulk sample BT-02 returned an in-situ grade of 0.68 ct/m3 from the processing of
94 m3 of the ash-fall layer. The sample yielded 556 diamonds weighing 111
carats for an average diamond weight of 0.20 carats. All results stated herein
only include diamonds larger than 1.7 mm.

Bulk sample BT-01 had previously returned an in-situ grade of 0.36 ct/m3 from 80
m3 of the ash-fall layer. This sample yielded 102 stones including a gem-quality
6.23 carat diamond (see press release dated April 30th, 2008).

The second bulk test was collected 180 metres southeast of sample BT-01. It
encountered the ash fall layer at an average depth of 6.5 metres. The ash-fall
layer is 1.7 metres thick and exhibits small scale post-depositional
displacements. Auger drilling done in conjunction with the bulk sampling has
continued to extend the surface area of the diamondiferous ash-fall.

Denis Francoeur, CEO of Diagem commented, "It is encouraging to note that the
average diamond weight of the first two Chapadao bulk samples is nearly twice
that of the diamonds recovered at the Collier-04 kimberlite pipe".

The above results were obtained prior to an IBAMA intervention that forced the
Company to cease all activities on the Chapadao Project. (See press releases on
the embargo dated April 30th and May 23, 2008). A total of 2,215 metres of
diamond drilling in twenty-eight holes had also been completed in crater facies
kimberlitic rocks representing approximately 30% of the first-stage drill
program.

The Chapadao Project has the potential to become a major employer for the
community and has the promise of a significant return for the shareholders who
have long supported the Company. The Company is vigorously pursuing all legal
means of reversing the IBAMA intervention with the goal of rapidly resuming
field activities.

About the Chapadao Discovery

Previous field work by Diagem identified kimberlite targets suggesting the
presence of pipe-like kimberlitic bodies forming a tight cluster. Interpretation
was based on ground magnetic anomalies and field observations. Independent
petrographic, mineralogical and geochemical studies were conducted on the
surface exposures in 2007 and have confirmed the presence of crater facies
kimerlitic rocks at the targeted localities (press releases of October 10th and
November 27th, 2007). A near-surface non-consolidated "ash-fall diamondiferous
kimberlitic" layer(s) is also present, associated to the crater-facies
kimberlitic rocks. This particular unit also referred to as "Tuff-Ring Deposit"
varies in thickness between 0.5 and 2.0 metres (0.6 metres on average) occurs
over an extensive area and could be mined with the same economic parameters of a
gravel deposit. Preliminary bulk sampling, conducted in November and December of
2006, indicated in situ diamond grades ranging between 0.28 and 1.26 carats per
cubic metre (see press release dated January 11, 2007). A total of 849 diamonds
coarser than 1.7 millimetres and weighing 155 carats were recovered, including a
4.67 carat diamond and eight diamonds ranging between 1.20 and 1.34 carats. The
Chapadao area is also known for the occurrence of rare and valuable type IIa
diamonds often in a fancy pink colour (see press release dated November 13,
2007). The Chapadao area is accessible year round and parts of the potential
deposits would be amenable to open pit mining which translates into low
extraction costs.

About Diagem

Diagem Inc. is a exploration-stage Canadian public company focused on primary
diamondiferous resources in the Juina Diamond Province of Mato Grosso, Brazil,
where it controls a large portfolio of mineral properties. The Company has one
advanced development stage project and two recently discovered clusters of
kimberlite pipes believed to be significant sources of Juina's historical
alluvial diamond production.
