Titanium Inc. (TSXV: RGX) ("Argex" or the "Company") is pleased
to announce the appointment of Peter
Waugh to lead its TiO2 Pigment Development. The
appointment is effective immediately.
"We are delighted to welcome Peter Waugh to the Argex team. Peter is a
veteran in the TiO2 industry and has worked with some of
the top producers in the world," stated Roy
Bonnell, President and CEO of Argex Titanium. "Peter will
lead the development team at our Valleyfield facility and he will be actively
involved in our business as we approach full commercial
production."
Mr. Waugh brings over 30 years experience in the
mineral and chemical industries to Argex. For more than 20 years,
he held senior roles, including that of Technical Director, with
major TiO2 pigment supplier Tioxide which became
Huntsman Pigments, where his work involved the commercial
production of pigments and raw materials used in titanium dioxide.
A project leader in manufacturing process improvement, Mr. Waugh is
an experienced practitioner of Lean
Six Sigma, which is widely recognized by businesses around
the world to improve operational productivity and competitiveness.
During his career, he has taken the lead in a number of global
continuous improvement projects in the manufacturing sector. Since
2011 he has provided consultancy services to a range of clients in
the TiO2 industry and his role with Argex further
extends such commitments. He holds a degree in Mining Geology from
Imperial College in London England
and is currently pursuing a Master's degree at Durham University
Business School.
