White Bear Resources Inc. (TSX VENTURE:WBR) ("White Bear" or the "Company") is
pleased to announce the appointment of Bud Smith, Q.C., as a director of the
Company.
Bud Smith currently serves as an officer of Urban Systems Ltd. and Chair of
Ridley Terminals Inc. Mr. Smith also serves as a director for the Tulo Centre of
Indigenous Economics. Mr. Smith has been a member of the Law Society of British
Columbia since May 1975.
Bud Smith served as Principal Secretary to the Premier, and as a Cabinet
Minister, for the Province of British Columbia. Mr. Smith is a past director of
Canada Post Corporation, BC Development Corporation, Royal British Columbia
Museum, Prince Rupert Port Authority, and several other companies and
organizations.
Kelly Reichert, the President and CEO of White Bear, stated, "Bud Smith has
extensive experience as a director of various private, public and crown
corporations. He brings a wealth of knowledge in core competencies such as
