SGSOY SGS SA (PK)

SGS (SGSN.VX) said Friday it acquired Belgium's Exprimo NV for an undisclosed sum, to expand its services and technologies in life sciences.

MAIN FACTS:

-Exprimo is a European life science consultancy company with strong focus in the application of quantitative, model-based simulations during all stages of pharmaceutical development.

-Founded in 2002 and privately owned, Exprimo employs 16 experts in Belgium, United Kingdom, Sweden, The Netherlands, France and Switzerland. In 2011, they generated revenues in excess of EUR3 million.

-"SGS continues to expand its breadth of services and technologies in our Life Science Services. With this new expertise, we will enhance our service offerings towards existing and potential clients and leverage our network," said Chris Kirk, CEO of SGS.
