Telenor Finalizes Buyback Programme, Will Return NOK4.4 Billion

Telenor ASA (TEL.OS), the Norwegian telecommunications firm,
said Tuesday it has now finalised the 3% share buyback programme
that it announced in July this year.
MAIN FACTS:
-As part of the program, 22.21 million shares were repurchased
on the open market while another 26.04 million shares will be
purchased from Norway's Ministry of Trade and Industry.
-The repurchased shares will be cancelled following approval by
the Annual General Meeting in May next year.
-The Norwegian state's 53.97% ownership interest in Telenor will
remain unaffected.
-The average price for the shares repurchased was NOK90.98 and
Telenor will return NOK4.4 billion to shareholders in addition its
NOK6.3 billion 2010 dividend.
-Tuesday Telenor shares closed at NOK95.35.
