Norwegian telecommunications company Telenor ASA (TEL.OS) said
Friday it has appointed Kjell-Morten Johnsen Executive Vice
President and Head of Telenor Group's European Operations.
MAIN FACTS:
-The new unit will include the Central and Eastern European
operations in Hungary, Serbia and Montenegro, as well as the
operations in Sweden and Denmark.
-Johnsen will be a member of the Telenor Group Executive
Management and will take up his position with immediate effect.
-Johnsen comes from the position as CEO of Telenor Serbia.
-Telenor Norway will remain a separate business unit, headed by
Executive Vice President Berit Svendsen.
-Executive Vice President Kristin Skogen Lund will be focusing
on Telenor Group's innovation agenda through her position as Head
of Digital Services, including Broadcast.
-Bjoern Magnus Kopperud, who has been acting Head of the Central
and Eastern European region, will take on new responsibilities
within Telenor Norway.
-New CEO in Telenor Serbia has not yet been appointed.
-At 1207 GMT shares traded 0.4% lower at NOK104.30.
