STOCKHOLM--Norwegian telecom provider Telenor ASA said Thursday that it has appointed Bjorn Ivar Moen as chief executive officer of Telenor Sweden from Oct. 1.

Mr. Moen is currently CEO of Nordic TV distribution company Allente, which is jointly owned by Telenor and NENT Group. He will replace Kaaren Hilsen, who was recently appointed as head Telenor's new tower company.

Jonas Gustafsson takes over as CEO of Allente from Thursday.
