                            Preferred Bidder Status

Redstone (LSE: RED.L) is pleased to announce that the Catalyst Education
Consortium comprising Redstone, Bovis Lend Lease and Capita has been confirmed
as the preferred bidder for Lancashire County Council's Building Schools for the
Future programme ("BSF").

As part of the consortium, Redstone Converged Solutions will provide the
integrated IT, communications and e-learning infrastructure as part of the
project.

The #250m Lancashire BSF project will be the largest single investment ever to
be made in Burnley and Pendle's education system. It is proposed that work on
the new facilities will begin in autumn this year with the schools opening their
doors in September 2008. Building on the next phase of schools is scheduled to
start in 2007 with the implementation of Redstone's IT & Communications solution
expected to commence in the second half of 2007, with the project expected to
last up to 3 years.

Martin Balaam, CEO of Redstone commented, "I am delighted that Redstone is
involved in this historic project, which demonstrates Redstone's ability to
develop innovative IT & Communications solutions and its ability to secure
substantial long term projects."
