China will continue to open the mining industry for overseas investors, a senior official at China's Ministry of Land and Resources Tuesday said Tuesday.

Speaking at the China Mining Conference, Vice Minister Wang Min also called on other countries to open up their mining industries for investment, adding companies should reach "win-win" agreements on mining deals.

Wang also said the pricing mechanism for mining products should be reformed, adding governments should regulate market speculation in their trade.

Wang also said China now has about CNY13 billion in a fund for boosting mining exploration at home. "So far, we already invested about CNY1.5 billion in 191 projects."
