Russian fertilizer producers OAO Silvinit (SILV.RS) and Uralkali (URKA.RS), which are in a process of a merger to create one of the largest global potash producers, said Tuesday their 2010 output reached "the all-time pre-recessionary highs."

MAIN FACTS:

-Uralkali 2010 potash output up 1.9 times to 5.1 million metric tons.

-Silvinit 2010 potash output up 1.5 times to 5.2 million tons.

-Silvinit Chief Executive Vladislav Baumgertner expects the global potash market to grow up to 55-60 million tons in 2011.

-Baumgertner said potash consumption will remain mostly concentrated in China, India, Brazil and Southeast Asia.
