LONDON--Shares of Hardide PLC (HDD.LN) rose early Wednesday, after the surface coatings manufacturer said it has secured approved supplier status from Airbus Group SE (AIR.FR) for coating of flying components.

At 0710 GMT, Hardide shares were trading 14% higher at 1 pence each, one of the top gainers on the FTSE AIM Index.

Hardide said it is already in talks with several Airbus sites about coating of specific components. The company, however, doesn't anticipate any material changes to its revenue forecasts for the current financial year on the back of the Airbus supplier approval.
