The Company was notified on 24 August 2002 that on the same date IG Employee
Share Trustee Limited acting as trustees of the International Greetings plc All
Employee Share Ownership Plan ("the Plan") bought 57,040 ordinary shares. The
price for the acquisition of these shares was 180p.


Following the acquisition, the Plan holds 130,576 shares.


The Directors of International Greetings plc in their capacity as members of the
class of beneficiaries and N. Fisher, M. Collini and S.A. Hedlund in their
capacity as trustees of the Plan are deemed to have a non-beneficial interest in
these ordinary shares.
