CACI International Inc (NYSE:CACI) announced today that Dr. J.P.
(Jack) London (Captain, USN, Retired), CACI Executive Chairman and
Chairman of the Board, has been honored with the Nathan Hale Award
from the Reserve Officers Association (ROA) at the organization’s
90th anniversary celebration at the Willard Hotel in Washington,
D.C. The award is given to prominent federal, state, and local
government and civic leaders to recognize outstanding and dedicated
individual service in the interest of national security, reflecting
the patriotic dedication to America epitomized by Nathan Hale.
Founded by General John J. Pershing, the ROA provides a wide range
of professional and personal benefits to its membership and keeps
reservists and their families apprised of important topics such as
call-ups and legislative actions.
Dr. London is a graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy (1959) and
the Naval Postgraduate School (1967). He holds a doctorate in
business administration conferred "with distinction" from The
George Washington University (1971). During his 12 years of active
duty as a regular officer (1959-1971) during the Cold War, he was a
naval aviator and carrier pilot serving with U.S. Navy
“hunter-killer” task forces arrayed against the Soviet Union’s
strategic nuclear submarine threat. At the height of the Vietnam
War, he served as aide and administrative assistant to the Vice
Chief of the Naval Material Command, Department of the Navy
(1969-70). Dr. London left active duty in 1971 and joined the U.S.
Navy Reserve, retiring as a captain in 1983, after having served as
commanding officer of aeronautical engineering units with the Naval
Air Systems Command, Washington, D.C.
Over his 40 years of service with the company, Dr. London’s
leadership has been instrumental in helping CACI grow from a small
consulting firm into a worldwide information solutions and services
company with more than 15,000 employees serving vital national
needs in defense, intelligence, homeland security, and the
modernization of government. His strategic vision and insight into
the evolving trend lines of the government marketplace served as
the foundation of the company’s growth in rapidly changing business
climates. The robust mergers and acquisition program Dr. London
initiated has brought more than 50 acquisitions to CACI, including
companies that have greatly strengthened CACI’s position in the
security and intelligence services markets and enhanced its support
for Department of Defense initiatives and defense of the homeland.
CACI’s service as a national asset for national priorities is
demonstrated by its dedicated focus on supporting the men and women
in the U.S. Armed Forces, both in-theatre and when they return
home. The company's award-winning Deploying Talent — Creating
Careers program hires veterans with disabilities and provides them
with opportunities to use their unique skill sets to build
careers.
Today, CACI has revenue of $3.8 billion dollars and continues to
capture new business in high-growth, high-priority areas of its
large addressable market, with emphasis on the critical missions of
customers in the intelligence, cyber, healthcare, business systems,
and integrated security solutions arenas.
Commenting on the honor, Dr. London noted, “I am most humbled
and appreciative to be the recipient of this award, named after one
of our nation’s greatest sons. It is also a fitting tribute to
CACI’s dedicated efforts to keep America safe and free. With nearly
one quarter of our employees coming from the U.S. Armed Forces, we
remain ever vigilant in doing work that is in the best interest of
our remarkable servicemen and women.”
Dr. Warren Phillips, Lead Director of CACI’s board noted, “We
congratulate Dr. London on receiving the Nathan Hale Award from the
Reserve Officers Association. This recognition exemplifies the
spirit of patriotism that has marked Jack’s conduct over the years.
And it reinforces CACI’s consistent emphasis on developing
solutions that directly support mission success for our forces
worldwide.”
