Transatlantic stock market operator NYSE Euronext (NYX) Wednesday said that it will introduce weekly options on three of the most liquid shares traded on the Amsterdam market starting July 16.

The three stocks are ING Group NV (ING), Royal Dutch Shell PLC (RDSA.LN) and ArcelorMittal (MT).

These contracts, which will provide investors with more opportunities to trade the major Amsterdam blue chip stocks, are the first ever weekly options on individual shares in Europe, NYSE Euronext said in a statement.
