NEW YORK, Sept. 4, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Ogilvy & Mather
Worldwide Chief Creative Officer Tham Khai
Meng announced today the appointment of César Agost Carreño,
Vice President of Creative at Ogilvy & Mather Mexico, to
O&M's Worldwide Creative Council.
Tham, the Chairman of O&M's Worldwide Creative Council,
noted, "You don't get to the Council simply by being good. You have
to be great and consistently so. It takes a special person to fit
in and deliver, to keep the flame burning and the pipes of
Pervasive Creativity pumping in a world of relentless competition.
César is just such a person."
Carreño, who joined O&M in 2001, has been an "integral part
of our creative renaissance," Tham said. Prior to his Mexico post, Carreño was with O&M Chile
for ten years where he was CEO and also served as head of Creative
Services. Prior to that he was with O&M Buenos Aires.
"It's a huge pleasure and a real honor to join this august group
working with Khai. This band of our top creative leaders is the
creative conscience of the agency. It has one single purpose:
to continue to raise the creative bar for all the brands we
work for. I can't wait!" Carreño said.
Earlier this year, Tham led O&M to victory at the Cannes
International Festival of Creativity where the agency won Network
of the Year for the third consecutive year.
Over the course of his career, Carreño won a Grand Prix at
Cannes—the first ever awarded for Chile—and two Grand Prix at El
Ojo de Iberoamerica. His awards also include 22 Cannes Lions and
top honors from the Clios, the One Show, D&AD, the EFFIEs and
the London International Advertising Awards, among others.
