An Index Share Update for Fortis Inc.

Canadian Index Services will make the following changes in the
S&P/TSX Canadian Indices:
Fortis Inc. (TSX:FTS) has completed a plan of merger with ITC
Holdings Corp. (NYSE:ITC). To reflect the issuance of common shares
as part of the transaction, the relative weight of Fortis will
increase in the S&P/TSX Composite and Capped Composite, the
S&P/TSX 60, 60 Capped and 60 ESG, the S&P/TSX Capped
Utilities, the S&P/TSX Composite Dividend, the S&P/TSX 60
Carbon Efficient, the S&P/TSX 60 Fossil Fuel Free, the
S&P/TSX 60 Fossil Fuel Free Carbon Efficient and the
S&P/TSX 60 Fossil Fuel Free Carbon Efficient Select Indices
after the close of trading on Thursday,
October 20, 2016. There will be no change to the relative
weight of Fortis in the S&P/TSX Composite Equal Weight, the
S&P/TSX 60 Equal Weight, the S&P/TSX Canadian Dividend
Aristocrats, the S&P/TSX Composite Low Volatility or the
S&P/TSX 60 Carbon Efficient Select Indices.
