Detector Exploration Ltd. ("Detector" or the "Corporation") (TSX VENTURE:DEX)
announces that the special meeting of shareholders scheduled to occur on
September 20, 2011 (the "Meeting") has been cancelled pending receipt of
additional information pertaining to a proposed transaction that was to comprise
the subject matter of the Meeting. It is the expectation of management of the
Corporation that it will shortly announce a new scheduled meeting date at which
it will present the proposed transaction to the shareholders.


The Corporation's shares listed on the TSX Venture Exchange were halted from
trading on August 3rd, 2011, pending the dissemination of a comprehensive news
release describing the proposed transaction. Detector will be disseminating more
specific details with the issuance of a subsequent news release once such
information comes available. Further, it is expected that the Corporation's
shares will remain subject to the current trading halt until the comprehensive
news release fully describing the proposed transaction has been issued.
