Target Development Group, Inc. (PINKSHEETS: TDGI) (Other:
www.TargetDevelopmentGroup.com, www.HannoverHouse.com), the parent
company of entertainment distributor Hannover House, has announced
a powerful line-up of DVD, Blu-ray and Video-On-Demand releases for
the fourth quarter of, 2010. Leading the list is the acclaimed
documentary, "Racing Dreams," which opened at theaters in May and
continues to play in markets across the country.
"Racing Dreams," from director Marshall Curry and producers Jack
Turner and Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson, will hit DVD and Blu-ray on
September 28. DVDs are priced at $24.95 suggested retail, and
Blu-ray units are priced at $19.95 suggested retail. Hannover House
has received placement commitments for the item with Blockbuster,
Best Buy, Netflix, Walmart and other, major national retailers.
In October, the company will release "Devil's Grove," as the
first new release under the Elite Entertainment library venture.
Another sci-fi horror title from Elite, "2" will be released in
December.
Director Abel Ferrara's "Chelsea on the Rocks" featuring Ethan
Hawke and Dennis Hopper will also be released in October, having
been rescheduled from July due to video mastering delays. Hannover
will also release Blu-ray editions of selected catalog titles in
October, including the sci-fi thriller, "Sensored" and western,
"Outlaws: The Legend of O.B. Taggart."
November new releases include the theatrical titles "Bobby Dogs"
and "Cook County," both of which will be supported with targeted
promotional campaigns. December titles include the action adventure
"Boilermaker" and the instructional sports video, "Championship
Soccer."
Additionally, the company plans to relaunch the marketing and
promotional campaign behind the Barr McClellan book, "Made in the
USA," to capitalize on the buy-American momentum that is now
building.
"As we head into the busiest sales season of the year for videos
and books, we are refocusing our management attention and corporate
resources into maximizing this profitable, core business," said
TDGI and Hannover House President, Fred Shefte. "The theatrical
release of 'Twelve' monopolized most of our attention over the past
six months, so it's invigorating to be launching this commercial
video slate into the lucrative fourth quarter market. People see
our theatrical and video releases competing for screens or retail
shelf space alongside the major studio titles. But they sometimes
forget that TDGI / Hannover House is a relatively small company
with a tiny overhead and operating budget. It's easy for us to
generate bottom-line results from mid-level titles, and we predict
that this upcoming video slate will be quite profitable," he
concluded.
