Discover Takes Top Spot for Cardmember Websites among Top Six U.S. Credit Card Issuers Evaluated

Discover Financial Services has been recognized by Forrester
Research Inc. in its May 2012, “2012 US Credit Card Secure Website
Rankings,” as taking the lead among the top six credit card issuers
for its secure website for customers.
Scoring 80 out of 100, Discover received the highest overall
score among the six largest credit card issuers, all of which were
evaluated on more than 50 criteria from March 6 through March 9,
2012. Discover earned a significant score of 91 in the online
servicing category, as well as an impressive 84 in the
transactional content and functionality category. The company’s
security features were recognized as “significantly above minimum
standards.”
The research findings also spotlight the company’s self-service
options and expansive alerts to help cardmembers easily manage
their accounts and get account activity updates. Forrester
recognized Discover’s wide array of alert types such as multiple
delivery endpoints, dynamic preference settings and one-time SMS
security passcodes.
