Tyler Technologies, Inc. (NYSE: TYL) announced today that it has
signed contracts for its financial and citizen management solutions
with five public sector organizations in California.
All five clients have purchased a variety of applications from
Tylers INCODE solution to increase efficiencies in their business
operations. The new clients include:
- Mojave Water Agency:
4,900-square-mile service area in San Bernardino County
- Valley County Water District:
10-square-mile service area in Los Angeles County
- North Coast County Water
District: 12.6-square-mile service area in Pacifica
- City of Escalon: 7,200 residents
in San Joaquin County
- City of Albany: 16,000 residents
in Alameda County
While public sector organizations are increasingly experiencing
budget pressures, they are also facing the challenge of operating
more efficiently. Many agencies use outdated systems that are not
integrated or supported, including in-house developed products and
software from vendors that are no longer competitive. A growing
number of these organizations are choosing to replace these
obsolete systems by investing in an integrated software solution
that will enable them to work more effectively and better serve the
needs of their constituents.
Mojave Water Agency (MWA) is one such public sector agency. MWA,
which lacked a true fund accounting solution, sought an integrated
and modern financial management system. One of 29 State Water
Project contracting agencies, MWA uses a variety of off-the-shelf
software applications. Tyler will integrate these applications with
Tylers financial management and citizen services applications,
enabling the Agency to operate with greater efficiency.
The Mojave Water Agency sought an SQL-based fund accounting
system that could integrate easily with a variety of standalone
systems we currently use, while offering the flexibility to meet
the information needs of the entire agency, explained Kathy
Cortner, chief financial officer for MWA. Tylers INCODE solution
will integrate with the SharePoint Web portal technology we use,
which means all systems will be readily available to employees
throughout the Agency. Providing easy access to information for our
employees will save time otherwise spent determining what data is
available and where it is located.
Cortner said choosing a system that enabled MWA to automate
processes was another key component of its decision to select
Tylers solution. After reviewing a variety of software options,
we determined that Tylers solution provided the automation needed
in a cohesive package, without the need for add-ons or plug-ins.
This, combined with the solutions overall functionality,
integration, and value for the dollar, was the reason we chose
Tyler Technologies, noted Cortner.
Tyler is pleased to partner with these California local
governments and agencies by providing our integrated solutions and
aiding in their quest to operate more efficiently, commented Brett
Cate, president of Tylers INCODE solution. Tylers reputation for
superior customer service and our ability to provide a solution
that will help clients improve their effectiveness is a reflection
of our sole focus on serving the public sector.
