Tyler Technologies, Inc. (NYSE: TYL) announced today it has signed a contract with Pinellas County, Florida, for Tyler’s Odyssey® integrated justice suite. The agreement, valued at approximately $6.8 million, includes software licenses, professional services, maintenance and support.

“Pinellas County purchased Tyler’s Odyssey because we needed an innovative court case management solution that was fully integrated to replace our 35-year-old homegrown system,” said Suzie Jennings, justice court case management system project sponsor for Pinellas County. “We’re excited to implement Odyssey knowing its technology will make it easier to keep up with Florida’s changing technology mandates.”

Pinellas County, with a population of more than 924,000 and home to the cities of St. Petersburg and Clearwater, has invested in a wide range of Tyler’s Odyssey applications, including Case Manager, Prosecutor, Supervision, Financial Manager, Public Defender and SessionWorks Clerk Edition. The Pinellas County Clerk of the Circuit Court is currently implementing Tyler’s Munis® financial and document management solutions, part of the Munis enterprise resource planning (ERP) solution.

“With the addition of Pinellas County, Tyler’s Odyssey solution now serves nearly 50 percent of the Florida population and six of the 10 largest counties in the state,” said Bruce Graham, president of Tyler’s Courts & Justice Division. “Pinellas County can take comfort in Tyler’s proven ability to successfully implement Odyssey in hundreds of counties and six statewide trial courts. The solution is also annually updated to take advantage of new technology enhancements and stay current with state mandates. We’re pleased Pinellas County chose Odyssey as its integrated courts and justice solution, and we look forward to a long, successful partnership.”
