2015 PR People Awards, and that Sharron

Communications, was named to PR News' 2015 Top Women in PR
list.
Karen Doyne heads the
Burson-Marsteller U.S. Crisis Practice and also provides strategic
counsel in litigation communication, issues and reputation
management, and risk communication. Doyne has been on the front
lines of product liability and recall situations, environmental and
public health issues, corporate governance controversies, data
security breaches, government investigations, terrorism and natural
disaster response, legislative and regulatory battles, and myriad
other challenges for corporations, government bodies and nonprofit
organizations.
Before joining Burson-Marsteller, Doyne held senior positions at
Ketchum, FleishmanHillard, and the Public Broadcasting Service
(PBS), as well as serving as Press Secretary to then-U.S. Senator
David Durenberger. She began her
career as a radio news reporter and newscaster.
Earlier in her public relations career Doyne was named by
PRWeek as one of the nation's 22 top crisis counselors, and
she has been honored by Washington Women in Public Relations as one
of the leading practitioners in the Nation's Capital. She has
served on advisory boards to the National Press Foundation, the
American Chemistry Council, the Harvard Center for Risk Analysis
and the University of Michigan Risk

at KCSA Strategic Communications. Prior to joining KCSA, Silvers
developed and led business and financial communications and
investor relations programs at Kreab Gavin Anderson and
Fleishman-Hillard. She has also worked in investor relations and
client services at Sagamore Hill Capital Management, and as a
financial analyst at Black Point Advisory.
