LONDON--Advertising firm WPP PLC (WPP.LN) said Tuesday that Nonexecutive Chairman Roberto Quarta purchased 2,800 WPP PLC ordinary shares at GBP15.58 per share on March 7.

Mr. Quarta now holds a total of 21,800 WPP ordinary shares.

Shares at 0905 GMT down 11 pence, or 0.7%, at GBP15.35, valuing the company at GBP19.87 billion.
