LONDON--Advertising company WPP PLC (WPP.LN) said Tuesday that it has acquired U.S. based healthcare media agency Communications Media Inc. for an undisclosed sum.

Shares of WPP at 1433 GMT trading 0.9% higher at 1,611 pence.
