--WPP faces an investigation from U.S. law firm Pomerantz on behalf of investors following the departure of former chief executive Martin Sorrell, which could lead to a class action, The Times of London reports, citing a circular.

--Pomerantz is looking into whether "securities fraud or other unlawful business practices" were undertaken at WPP, as the company's depositary receipts listed in the U.S. fell sharply following reports of allegations against Mr. Sorrell, according to The Times.

--A WPP spokesman played down the prospect of class action, The Times reports.
