Mark Affeldt, Valley Bank's executive vice president & chief credit officer, graduated from Pacific Coast Banking School on Sept. 2, 2005. Affeldt earned special recognition by having his management report be one of 18 that were added to the school's permanent lending library. "We are very proud of Mark and this accomplishment," stated Barry L. Hulin, president & chief executive officer of Valley Bank. "It is an enormous amount of work and commitment over a period of three years." Since 1938, in partnership with the University of Washington Graduate School of Business, more than 10,000 participants have graduated from PCBS. This year's class consisted of more than 172 individuals representing a diverse mix of financial institutions from around the country.
