EURO Ressources S.A. (TSX:EUR)(Paris: EUR) has received an unsolicited takeover
bid of EUR 1.20 per share in cash from IAMGOLD Corporation to acquire up to 100%
of the outstanding shares of EURO. The offer is conditional on acceptance by a
minimum of 50% +1 of EURO's shareholders.


The Board of Directors of EURO will make its recommendation to EURO's
shareholders once it has reviewed the full details of the offer. Until the Board
of Directors has completed its review, it will not comment further or speculate
as to the future course of action it might take.
