Downing Classic VCT plc announces that it holds 13.57% of the issued ordinary
share capital of Shopcreator Developments Limited ("Shopcreator"). 
Shopcreator is a Yorkshire-based e-commerce company which enables small and
medium-sized businesses to set up "virtual shops" to sell their products over
the internet.

International media group, Daily Mail and General Trust plc ("DMGT"), has
announced that it has made a significant investment into Shopcreator.  DMGT's
subsidiary, Associated Newspapers which owns the Daily Mail, Mail on Sunday
and Evening Standard newspapers, has taken a 20% stake in Shopcreator for
undisclosed consideration, that will be satisfied partly in cash and partly in
advertising space.
